I'm a freelance journalist in Austin, Texas.

My journalism career started at Princeton, where I contributed to the alumni magazine with an obituary, a profile, and an in-depth feature about the effects of visa restrictions on international students. More recently, I spent a summer exploring Central Pennsylvania's breweries, apple orchards, detention centers, and churches as a reporting intern for the region's local newspaper, the Centre Daily Times.

Now, through a fellowship from Princeton, I'm pursuing a reporting project on Austin's Afghan families as they continue to seek safety, stability, and opportunity in the U.S.

Between interviews, I dance salsa, make pinch pots, and re-read Toni Morrison's novels.
